I'm looking for spring options for the troopy and am wondering if 60 springs could work in the rear. Does anyone know the dimensions of 60 springs as compared to troopy springs?

60 springs would be too soft on their own, but I'm thinking of adding air bags in the rear to compensate. When empty, the truck would ride better and when loaded the air bags could be pumped up.

Any thoughts?

Are your current springs broken? What about an adaleaf?
I run the 'universal' air bag kit from summit racing on my trucks, brand name firestone bags. Works awsome, the only thing I changed was to T the lines together and run a one way valve between then to keep the swaying down.

Front springs have a few leaves that are cracked. Back springs look ok and are wicked stiff.

Can someone with a 60 measure the rear springs eye-to-eye length for me? Also, how many leaves in the pack?

Thanks

Lowrider with that airbag set-up?

60 springs are wider that 40 springs you will need either new or modify your mounts on the frame not a deal braker but something to consider.

same width i believe, but troopy springs are 4 inches longer
like 50 inches vs 46 for the 60 methinks
there is enough room on the troopy frame to move the shackle perch forward to make it work

I'll be taking the springs out of the 45 this spring. I believe they are similar. Maybe you can use yours and mine to come up with your own custom leaf pack?
