60 series roof rack on 80? (1 Viewer)

My uncle has a custom roof rack that mounts to the gutters on his fj-60, he plans to sell it or just give it to me, would this fit on my 80? It isn't full lenght, and wouldn't interfere with the sun-roof, but I was wondering how far off the gutters are between the two and if it would be alot of cutting/welding to get it to fit, or none at all.

What is the distance between the mounts on his 60 rack? Is there any adjustment?

I can measure the 80 for you but you'll have to answer the above first.

Don't think there are any adjustments...I'll just get someone to measure for me from the 60 section. Thanks Beowulf...

I fit a con-ferr rack on my 60 and on my 80 with the bulldog clamps.

If there are no adjustments, it won't fit. The 60 has a wider roof. Many commercial racks, including my Tradesman, have plenty of adjustment to cover both.
