60's gotta go. no time and less coming...

:confused:
found a couple of used tacos 2wd and 2.7 and above.
yr models: 91, 08, 10: 91 is a pre runner thats a plus in my book. Others are standard trucks.

If I'm honest I havent had a need for 4 wheel in a # of yrs... but its nice. However, back in the day my cousin went every where a 4X4 on the hunt club went with 2 wheel drive...

That being said... is there any one of the yr models mentioned above better? Should I give preference over the pre Vs. the other two standards...

I'm pretty sure I can live with 2wd and 2.7.

Thanks in advance!
:rolleyes:

I didn't think that the '91 had a 2.7L (let alone that the tacoma wasn't out yet, was it?)...that's a good little engine. My wife had one in her '97 tacoma.

Well you are considering 2 very different trucks

The 91 should have an old 22R engine 2.4L..lots to be searched on here for them.
Less power than the new generation 2.7L, body would be more prone to rust etc...should be a lot less $ though

95 = 1st gen Tacoma(7th gen toy truck) 05 = 2nd gen Tacoma
Not sure how the recent 2TR-FE gen of 2.7L's with VVT-i are holding up as they don't have the years on them in their current setup as they did as the old 2.7L 3RZ-FE

Somehow I would be leaning towards a newer truck with more features etc etc. Likely better mileage and so on.

like comparing apple and grapfruit to me, just my 2 cents

id go with the 91 only because of the 22re their slow but they dont die, just make sure that the chain sliders havent broken. if there is a constant chain noise then the sliders are broken otherwise a little noise on startup is ok. but thats just me i like the older trucks
