I'm pulling the axles and springs out from under my truck and replacing it all with some SOA goodies I bought from Dan. So far progress is moving along. My question is, what should I keep from my old axles? Or should I just try to sell them off whole?

I was thinking I might want to keep the birfields? The new axles have 4.10s and lockers in them. Are the birfields from my old axles compatible?

Anyone want to buy some parts off of them before I post in the for sale section? Springs are in pretty good shape even after 26 years . Axles could use a rebuild.

Sell them hole. When you Break an axle you will want to replace them with Longfield axles.

will do. Is there anyone you'd recommend for welding in my front shock towers (around winchester)? I know I can probably run the stock ones around town for a little while. I'll most likely need someone to cut a chunk out of my crossmember too. I'll know for sure when I finish the front up this week

No. I bolted mine on. I've got a saws-all and a port-a-band band saw if you need to barrow it.
