Will 60 parts- specifically doors and fenders- fit an 88 FJ62? I am stressing over this 62 I found because of the rust!!
Thanks, Todd

Doors, yes. Front fenders, no.

Almost all of its fite either. Fenders will interchange, doors are the same shape but different interiors if the 62 has power mirrors. Either door will bolt up. Upper and lower gates are the same but the 62 uppergate has a mounting point for the electric lock. Ft 62 bumper is different, hoods are the same, valence is the same, radiator support is different, inner fenders are the same structure but the mounting holes are different for the motor crap.

The front valance is different. The 62's have a amber light below the headlights, in the valance. The bolt holes may be the same, but the 60's don't have those lights.

Also, I was told that the front fenders do not light up with the headlight/turn signal light junction right if you swap between the two series'.

Now that I look at the front light junction, it looks pretty similar. It's quite possiable I was lead astray.

To me, it looks like the front fenders are the same now- looking at them side by side.

The front door window regulator will have to be changed because of the manual/power window issue. The inside of the door is different and will take some serious mods to put the 60s manual windows in. I just did the reverse of this putting manual doors on my 62 with the 62 power window regulators installed. The lock system will bolt into the existing holes but the windows will be a problem.

Do the power window regulators on the 62 look like the regulators on the 60 with an addition of a motor, or is it a completely different design? I'd love to be able to modify a regulator so that I can have power windows but could keep the crank handle hooked up in case of emergencies.
