Cut off? You are definitely one of the first 30 signed up. It wouldn't have allowed you to register if you weren't one of the first 30. You are good to go.

Thanks! Now I just need my CB.

Has anyone tried fishing there? We are camping next to a lake right?

We are not camping by a lake. On Friday, one of the trail runs will be headed to a lake. So bring fishing stuff for that. We camp by a stream, but no fish there. It's water that's super rich with minerals from all the mining that used to go on in the area.

And make sure you buy a Colorado fishing license if you are 16 years or older. License fees help to manage the fisheries so they are sustainable and available for all to enjoy. A temporary non-resident license seems expensive until you put it into perspective, comparing it to the cost of a ticket or even just a day's worth of gas. They are easy to buy online.

Got the c.b. all hooked up. Like a few here, i did the midland 75-822 with a 4 foot firestick. Would anyone be knowledgeable and kind enough to help with a little tuning when we get up there? I read a little on it, but i am really just not familiar with c.b.

I've got an antenna tuner I'll bring with me. We'll fix you up in a jiffy.

Please. That's like 88* here. :)

Come hang out down here for a week and you will miss that 115* in the desert.

It's 101 here with 100% humidity.

Haha. No thanks. I'll keep the 105 plus days. Waaaaaaay better than humidity. You sure people were even supposed to settle in that part of the country?? Ha!!

Seeing temps and humidity like that make me glad I live in Albuquerque. Mid 80s to low 90s, afternoon rain, 60 degrees right before the sun comes up. And I can be in the San Juan mtns of Colorado in 4 hours.

Update on trail sign ups?

It is done and being sent today!

I'll be on Black Bear for the next week and will report back about all the beauty that surrounds the area.

The area is as beautiful as ever. Be prepared to be amazed!

Please check-in when you arrive for your registration bag and information. See you in Ouray!

Am I too late to register for this? I might be able to come and have an LX being picked up on Friday!

Unfortunately, yes, you are too late. We are filled up for this summer's trip. Next year, keep your eye out and you can bring your LX.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting the trail options Chris! See you in 16 days!
