Big tank. I have no plans to use it so let's free up some shelf space and get some cash for the FJ45LP-B project I'm picking up. Asking $250 OBO plus shipping. Or pick up in Seattle area, or meet me between Seattle and Stockton, Stockton and Moab, or Moab and Seattle next month.

This is a good price for the tank. Any leaks? If someone is thinking about traveling or off grid camping, then this is the way to go. When you need it, you need it and no jerry cans to carry. One last thing, price a new one, just say'n.

I've never used it but it looks to be in good shape. I poked around a bit before posting the tank to see if I could find any precedents on value - saw the LRA version and about choked when I saw the price at $2,345.00.

I have this fuel tank on my 55, holds 53 gal. The one thing I don't like about it is that it's NOT baffled. At about 12 gal left I have to be careful on how long and how steep I go up hill. other than that it's great. Being a tig welder, I have thought about building one in aluminum and baffled. I changed the mounting on mine after hitting one of the bolts on a rock and cracking the weld on the through holes. There is a skid plate the should go with it.

Do you have a pic of the skid plate? I may have it around here and not realize what it's for (such is the state of my shop).

Any modifications needed to make this work, just bolt in? I assume the spare would need to be moved to make it fit. I recently bought a stripper pole from someone so I can mount my spare inside.

It's a big pice of steel that matches the bottom of the tank. As in, same size, has 4 holes and the same bend as the shape of the tank.

I would definitely mod it the way I did. Give me a day to get some pics of what I did. I didn't use the 4 holes.

EDIT....
I just looked at the pics posted here and My tank is just a LITTLE different. Mine has 4 holes not 2 and I made straps similar to whats shown in the pics above. Again, give me a day to snap some pics and you'll see.

Yet another EDIT
Moneypit. Look at the bottom of your tank, the skid plate my be welded to the tank. I see some stich welds on there. the 2 extra hole that I have that don't show on this one maybe hiding under those round rubber pads.

sorry for the slow to posting these pics on how I mounted my fuel tank. I just upgraded my iphone from a 6+ to a 16+. Big change!
Hopefully you can see from the pics I built a cradle to support it. I have mounting points on 3 sides. I welded the skid plate to the outside of the cradle to have a space between it and the tank for better crush space I also had to run a ground wire to get the gage to work. The tank is also protected with foam so it doesn't rub any holes in it. Thats about it.
