Looks like a score to me. Who had it in Sacramento?

Also-I would like to see the top cover and make sure it has the 5th gear shifter intact since it is missing in the pictures. The main gear shift lever is available new, not sure about the 5th gear actuator. That would be ?? for Cruiserdan.

I wish there was better pictures of the top plate as well. I came across this about 2 hours ago and didn't have much time to research it. I just hope it doesn't cost me in the long run.

score its an H-55

I got an email today, and the man I bought it from was Danny Warden out of Placerville CA.

I did a search on here and came up with his name several times. He seems to be respected among cruiser heads. So I feel a bit better about the purchase.

Very cool. Danny and his dad Earl were some of the original Land Cruiser modifiers. Actually Earl got the business going and Danny ran "Warden's Auto Repair" for many years. I think they invented most of the stuff we take for granted like Saginaw PS swaps, SOA, SM420 swaps etc. If Danny said it was good, it is. Good to see he is still dabbling in the Land Cruiser side of the business. After he closed Warden's, he went to work at a local Jeep dealer. He put the SM420 in my FJ40 maybe 6 years ago.

he put the chevy 350 and h-55 in my fj60 a few years ago. unfortunately he closed the shop soon afterward. i would like to talk to him though and get down on paper exactly what he did eg: gearing etc because i was too new to it to know the significance.

like cruiser drew says if warden has it then its what he says it is.

one love

We'll someone was bidding against me upto the last seconds of the auction, with less than a minute to go the price went up about $250.00, don't know if it was anyone on here.

I went to bed last night feeling a little down, not knowing what I was getting myself into, what if its junk, what if there is something I'm not seeing, what if this, what if that.

However after finding out a little more about the seller's reputation this morning I feel really good about this now. Just need to start getting the other parts together, maybe I'll have this completed in a couple of months if not sooner.

Nice score. Thats how eBay always works, the price goes up ~ 20% as people feel the need to "win" something they've invested time in.
