I'm waiting to see if I can get the rig finished by then...keep fingers cross. I'd love to roll it out on its maiden voyage at our event. I'll either be there as a volunteer/passenger or drivin

I'll sign up tonight after I find my tlca #. I'm going hell or high water. This will be my daughter's first real camping trip so it could be interesting. ;)

Matt

Edit: I'm in!

Better to sign up and make that deadline real.

Chris you are exhibiting similiar qualities of my wife and mother. And like them you are right :crybaby:

Here is what I have left to do.

Tranny Swap (manual to 5spd)
tear down rear tc and swap out input shaft
rebuild rear axle
get rear gears set-up
get driveshafts made
replace timing chain
install rear lift
frame plating
get engine running again

Seems like a pretty tall order to me. My wife has already told me to burn a couple days of vacation to hammer through a bunch of this stuff.

I might have to rally the troops near the end

I'll probably make my decision next weekend.

Ah heck, I did the Aqualu tub, frame POR, complete paint job, rear disk brakes, lift, and mini-truck power steering in just a few months before CM '02.

Oh, and I got married a month before the event.

I told Shannon she wouldn't see me much that first month after we got married...

Make sure you have a plan, the parts in hand, and get a little done at a time instead of "saving" for that free day.

Ian & Jesse from Extreme 4x4 can do that in one 30 min program! :D

Let me know if I can help (but only after it cools off)

Tranny Swap (manual to 5spd) (do when all gears in cases are ready)
tear down rear tc and swap out input shaft (put in with tranny, I have a tranny jack)
rebuild rear axle (pull apart, drop third for below gear setup)
get rear gears set-up (instal with rear axle rebuild)
get driveshafts made (dont' worry bout this we can just sleeve em at the last minute)
replace timing chain (best get started on this project)
install rear lift (Done with rear axle build nothign hard)
frame plating (weld, weld weld.. Holler)
get engine running again (your project!)

Not all that much.. Heck Eric Butler's rig is still down to the frame and I might get him there!

My rig is ready to go. But I'm not :(. I really want to make it to the midwest some day to wheel.

I've got a new project. Extended wheelbase 40 on an 80 chassis. I have 3 40s stacked up ready to donate parts for the project. I haven't bought the 80 yet. I'm hoping to have it ready for CM 2010. Really that isn't too far off. Gabe has the paint picked out already. I hope he changes his mind because I don't like it. I'm streching it in the door sill and chopping the rear wheel well. Being that I have a little guy and dogs to load up this makes sense as it makes more room for them to enter and exit. I'm thinking I want to go with a custom softtop. Maybe I could get Ehsan to make a streched one like for a BJ44/47?

Im in. Just haven't signed up.

Only 70 miles from my house.

Well I tried to sign up online but the software wouldn't recognize "Missouri" in the state field. You Jayhawkers got something against us?

I emailed the administrator - Andrew I think.

We're trying to work it out right now...

EDIT: I'd sign up now, but I spent my registration money on a transfer case, gotta save it back up again.

Ethan and I are planning on going. Just bought a 1990 4 runner for a Daily Driver. Need to sell my F150 first before the wife lets us out of the doghouse...

We signed up and payed on Rob's PayPal. But we got an e-mail that says we have joined and can now finish registering. When I go back to the signup it is exactly the same stuff I already did. Can you tell us if we are signed up on your records? Thanks!
