5.3 vortec with 2 wheel drive tran (1 Viewer)

First off. How much are they going for. With trans engine. wiring and computer everything pretty much? Is the 2 wheel drive trans any good? Im pretty sure they maybe have some kind of a adapater for a transfew case?

I have gotten the price from 1800 to 4500

I've seen them go for less than $1k on craigslist, but you should be able to get one for less than $1500. If the trans is a 4l60e & you want it to put a splitcase behind it, all you need to do is cut the output shaft, per the AA directions. If you want to put another case behind it, you will need to change the output shaft.

well i was told 800 for the engine computer and harness. and 700 for a 2 wheel drive trans? Is it worth taking that trans? i seen people run th400? and it seems like you could maybe get a th400 more cheaper. but i most likey would like it rebuild.

$800 is very good if the engine is COMPLETE. Some of the little things will nickle & dime you to death.. like $9 dealer-only starter bolts.

You can find a good 4wd 4L60E for less than 700 easily. I would run an electronic trans though.. the 2 pair together and work nicely.

800 doesnt seem bad to me at all. He say its still in the car running and it comes with harness.computer and all that kinda stuff. 700 just seems to much when i see th400 with 205 go for 300 -500
