Ive heard good stories on group buys where there is a slight savings based of guaranteed volume for the seller. Ive also heard some horror stories on group buys. Seems complicated if not done right and managed by a organized and honest person - but then again Ive never done one so what do I know?
 
I was part of a group buy for MetalTech sliders. It worked out well for me. Saved on the sliders, more than $100 off, and on shipping because two sets were delivered together Mesa to a commercial address which cut my shipping cost in half.
