Hi,
New to this forum, but it seems like the best place to start. I live in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and drive a 1989 diesel FJ62 that's treated me well on several journeys around here. I've looked all over for any organized groups doing trips in Tanzania with no luck, and I'd love to find another truck or 2 to head out into the bush in the farther corners of TZ.
So far I've been into northern Malawi, Ruaha NP, Selous, Saadani (stuck in the black cotton soil), and a good 4-day trek through the Usambara Mountains. Usambaras are probably the best 4x4 area I've seen so far, but I'm hoping to take a trip through Kitulo and Katavi NP's in 2014, maybe with a return via back roads to Ruaha, Iringa, and a finish over the Uluguru Mountains into Selous.
If you know anyone who's been this way, will be heading this way, or who's got routes marked on their GPS, I'd appreciate any help.
cheers
