4WD vacume shift

Are both solenoids on the firewall for engaging the vacume to pull in the 4WD shifter???

one engages into 4wd and the other disengages for 2wd if I remember the top one is for 2wd

I thought the same, pretty sure it needs that much vacume to engage since the shifter is spring loaded to retract once the vacume is off?

Your right on the money, I pulled the canister apart to see and it is four wheel in two wheel in......
