Hey bretheren,
Went out wheeling down the street in the old quarry...My 4WD indicator light wouldnt go off.
It was back in high, hubs un locked the push button was in the correct position (off). I had to drive it a couple of miles before it went out. I tried reversing, re-engaging and I couldnt make it go off.
Is this the switch going? Can I drive with it ON and not do any damage? I didnt hear any grinding of any sorts...Im stumped. I just drained and re-filled the t case fluids with 89-90 valvoline gear oil.
I did run a search, and I couldnt find any posts with anyone having a similar problem.

Thanks,

Chicago

Thanks labsandducks...It helped quite a bit. At least I know now where to look for trouble.

Thanks,

Same thing. The front shaft should not turn while underway. By hand it should turn. Should have made that clearer.
