pondering my conversion
if i kept the stock toyota trans and t-case, what wwould it take to put a sbc in front of them?
i have everything from both rigs
engines,bellhousings,trans and t-cases

is there an easy way to do this without the high $$$$ AA adapters?
can the toy bellhousing be mounted up to the sbc?

You'll need either a new bellhousing or something like AA's ranger overdrive unit.

Why keep the stock tranny? Why not run the SM465 to the toy case or something like that?

the sm465 i have is 10 spline,
i've had a hard time finding one, otherwise i'd set it up that way.
sbc,sm465 and the stock t-case.
anyone have a sm to toy case adapter?

sm465 to 203 adapter is hard to find as well. only avail 1 year from what I can tell on here. Search about it a little. Cool set-up but not cheap!
Many would ratehr run a totally diff TC. toybox, etc.

I second this. If you go to car-parts.com I can usually find some for around $250 with adapter. That would be a sweet setup. I know a guy who has the same combo, except that he's got a ranger o/d thrown in there. I think that makes 4 or 5 shifters :eek:

Toy box is not cheap either. You also have to re-build your tranny when you do the swap along with some bearings in the t-case. I have the money set away for it but am wondering if i should order it for the h55 and wait and get a new tranny as well.
 
for my 2 cents i ran AA /Marks kit stock 4 spd stock t case it left drive shafts all stock and yes kit was $$$$$ i thinkj kit cost about 1300 notr sure though but it was a good kit .i accually dont use it any more i now run 3500 4L80E stock t case ..oh silly me i run 83 fj60 sprung over ..
