Need some help guys, I can't get the damn washer sprayer to work on my 88 Runner, I have a new pump but something else is up. The only plug that is near the washer pump is a small two swire plig that has a "Blue/White" stripe thats "cold" and a "solid Blue with a red dash" thats hot all of the time. Any thought's on this? I checked the switch on the colum and it works, traced it back to a "blue/white" on the big flat connector inside the column housing.

Does the pump work??? ie make noise when button is pushed. If so then the problem is in the water delivery system, most likely the pickup screen or the sprayers. If you don't get any noise at the pump, and you have power at the pump, the most likely culprit is a bad ground. I don't know if that pump is grounded through the switch or if the switch grounds through the pump, but either way it would be worth taking a multimeter to it. Before you get too involved, have you checked the fuses???
Good Luck,
Dan

I think I phrased it wrong, the plug that I suspect to be the pump is always HOT, the switch does nothing at all.
