I have a 92 fuso FG. The last owner drove with no oil in motor and put rod through block. I am looking at getting it back too running order. I have been having no luck finding a replacement motor locally. Northern Nevada / California. Latest find is a 2000 4D34 3AT3B motor with 150k miles. Was hoping someone might have experience enough too tell me if the compatibility of the motor into my 92 would be a workable option ? And,,, does anybody know why it seems like there are no 4d34 engines showing up for sale in my area ? It seems they are all central , eastern US. Any other northwester US parts resources would also be appreciated.

We dont get too many Mitsubishi owners on here, none actually.:) Maybe someone can help but I think you would be better off asking on a dedicated Mitsubishi forum.

Highly desirable items are always too far away:bang:

I have been looking for help in a number of places already...
I found a great forum thread here about the same motor I am asking about in a swap thread.
I am an avid off road enthusiast (5+ rigs) and racer (#1062 class 10 ). I will update profile.
I REALLY want to leave a note about just how great a site you have here !
I hope this will be a resource (give and get ) in the future.

I am not 100% certain but it will be close. The only thing that worries me is the cyl head and pistons might be different, there was a change in injector nozzle angle and piston design. I would use the fuel pump from your engine, and use the injectors and everything else from the 1992. It should work out no problem.

Sorry - I meant the injectors and everything else form the newer engine, with the old pump.
