HELLO
I just aquired a partialy disolved 40 with a good frame and running gear. I would like to make a heavily modified 45 out of it. I allready have a 78 40 but would like a 45.
all work will be done be myself.
I guess what I am trying to see, is it worth it or should I part it out?

I'm doing that exact thing right now. I choped the 40 tub off at the B piller then moddified the top rail from the back of the tub to make the 45. Its been a project and still is. If your going to do it, make sure you make your tub long enough for you. a stock 45 tub is tight for a person over 5'11". So if your going to do it you might as well make it comfortable for ya.

Its always better to look at what someone else did before you do .

Could you tell me what thread on pirate?

Was also a bunch of pictures in Toyota Trails a few years back showing 45's that were stretched. No idea what issue anymore though...
