Anyone interested in putting their money up for a Cdn group buy? I've not contacted Ehsan in a while, however the current threads will give pricing.

I've been advised there are a few groups forming in the USA, and one in Europe, so if we want this somewhat timely (they all take time anyway) pass this along to friends, people that might be interested, and lets get it going.

Yeah, I'd be interested if you can come up with some numbers.
 
FWIW. Its all about the expectations. I've been following some of the US group buys and while the tops are excellent the hardware, shipping and delivery are not. Expect to wait a year. Expect to run out and buy some quality hardware. Be prepared to accept a wrong color or wait another year. Do all this and you will be very happy.

I have a brand new top sitting in the ARB warehouse right now ready for p/u if anyone is interested. I was in on the last buy, but would rather spend the money on lifting my truck now. It is tan and fits a FJ40 '77 and earlier model year. I will check and see my total cost and that will be the price I will sell it for.

It would be very cool if you post your total price, and can sell it from this thread. If you hear of any complete tops (bows, etc) in that greeny tan (which I think looks good on Freeborn 309) for sale that would fit a 1981 BJ42, let me know. I would love to forgo the entire group coordination/time/headaches and get in on one that is here already.

But if not, I am willing to wait a year, and put something together. I've been following those threads a little as well Bruce, and thanks for putting it up for all interested to be eyes wide open.

My top that is currently sitting at ARB Seattle is a Khaki canvas with the rear quarter windows added. Comes with all bows and hardware to fit a 1973 FJ40 with small barn doors. I have a 1982, but was thinking that I could adapt the bows to fit my truck. There maybe a little customizing to make it work, but until I see it I dont know. I am going to leave the top in the US until I find someone that wants to buy it. Then I can either ship it or bring it up for a Cdn purchaser. I dont want to pay the duty/taxes for no reason.

So the price will be exactly what I have into it as follows:
$625.00usd for the top assembly
$130.00usd freight from Pakistan to Seattle
$30.00usd brokerage to get it into the USA from Pakistan

TOTAL: $785.00usd or $900.00cdn - If I have to bring it across the border the buyer will pay the tax and duty as well. (and me beer for picking it up!) You are more than welcome to go and get it as well!

I just sold my top today to someone in Florida. So no longer available.
