Your not gonna see many 40's for 2k, unless they are complete garbage.
Better look close at it, if he's been trying to sell it for a while at that price...I would look close, that is all I'm sayin. If it is any good should sell quick at $2k.

It's also located in East Asslick, NH so not too many people probably traveled to check it out when it has no top and a low price. The low price might be scaring people away from a perfectly good, under-priced truck. The again I'm sure some salt has found it's way up into the frame. Call in sick and check it out. You have a new job so you have plenty of sick days!

SOA, 1967, 3 spd, drum brakes.... not exactly for the casual "Jeep Shopper"
I actual have the money for this, just leary, would still have to sell the pig and use the proceeds to finish this one up, seats, top, disk brakes, suspension(?)etc. etc.

I agree with Jsalt.
1. It very well could be a steal for 2k, which 2k decent rig's are practically impossible to find in this day and age. So go look...
2. It may be garbage...hence the price. But it might not, so go look, and look carefully with a pen & paper to add up the damage.
3. If you really want a 40, probably will have to wait a long time and look at a lot of crappers before you find a good one for 2K, so go look and either way you can chalk it up to experience.

oh yeah, assuming nothing really ugly is hidden it's a great deal, I've emailed Lane to ask him to take a look at it.
I have a slot open in my stable so grab it before I do a road trip!! ;^)
The pics did look good. Hell, rip the roll cage out and sell it for half of what you paid for the truck!
It's definitely gonna have rust and bondo all over it but it can't be worse than what you are contending with on the pig. It'll get you onto the trails and out of the driveway for the summer.

It looks like a screaming deal in my opinion.
If the frame is in good shape and if it runs..well who cares. If the frame is solid, I'd buy it. The rest looks pretty decent. Even for the asking price it'd be worth wheeling the bag out of it and see what breaks.
