A friend is looking to replace his H41... his question is this: 4sp from a Sept/84 FJ60 will fit into my Oct/85 FJ60? I know that the 4 speeds changed in '85 but don't know what month. Anyone know?

An H41 is NOT a US model. If it is a US model truck it will be an H42.

It will "fit", but I don't think it's a simple bolt on. The part number changes in 4/85. I think this is where they change to the 4speed with the spacer, to make it the same length as the H55F. Therefore the early H42 is shorter, meaning a shorter front drive shaft, longer rear drive shaft, etc.
