We want a newer one, SO:
'93, 345,000,
clean, we are 2nd owner, previous owner drove from Weatherford to Dallas everyday for 14 years. We have replaced the radiator, rebuilt power steering pump, and replaced a BUNCH of return lines.
Also, have replaced the valve cover gasket, and throttle cable.
A/C was charged, works great, no major leaks detected.
Fixed: transmission output seal, Needs: heater hoses. All heater hoses leaked, so we bypassed them. We did replace the short hose under intake manifold. The truck runs great temp, and holds pressure.
There is some leakage from the front & rear main seals but I've been told it's not excessive. The engine does use some oil (I've added 2 quarts in 1500 miles or so).
$4000

Slick here. (Woody still hasn't "confirmed" me....) I'm gonna fix the trans leak today (and tomorrow), will still be for sale.

Slick again. Anybody know what lube the t-case takes? Forgot to look before I dumped it......

Do you ever feel like you're talking to yourself? :D

Does it have factory lockers?

Yes and no.
Now that I don't have to park it on level ground for fear of it sliding away I'm getting a little more attached to it.....

Well, okay. Being the trained observer that I am, I decided to look through the wheels and see what the rear pads looked like, and what did I see? A drum. Hmm. So I checked the build date, it's 10/92. I got one with a big motor and a c-clip rear. I've had it 3 months and just now looked. So, I have on the way a full float rear end, which will make available this fine example of Toyota's final drive technology. After watching a guy with the same axle break 2 shafts on Waterfall at Katemcy last year, I bet somebody out there would be willing to give me some money for this axle when it comes out shortly. Any takers? It should be available in 2 weeks, and it should be complete drum to drum, no locker stock gears. Asking $250

This thing is still for sale, and now comes with a full-float rear axle, for another $100. Apparently it's an early-build, and has the drum-brake rear so I found and purchased a later rear from a 97 LX450, open diff.
The paint buffed out nicely, it actually reflects light......

Did you pay $100 for that rear axle? I'll buy it from you for that much!

We paid more for for it than that, it was a "deal sweetener"......
Here's an update: We just drove this thing to KC and back, and it uses a lot of oil. I didn't see it smoking except on startup, so I'm assuming the valve stem seals are bad. It runs great oil pressure and doesn't knock or rattle, ever. It did however use a quart of Castrol's finest every 100 miles or so on the hiway. Around town, that's reduced to around every 250 miles. Knowing that, we are very open to offers, and the extra rear axle will be included as part of any reasonable offer. It got at least 15 mpg at a steady 70 mph, and drove great the whole time.

Still interested? Sold the 'cruiser about 20 minutes ago, don't have much use for this unit now. It's from a '97 LX470, no calipers or rotors. I think $400 is a fair price.....
