I searched quickly and found nothing. Has anyone rebuilt one of these things?
Looks like 3 bolts to remove and then....
I toggled the power locks in my 96 to get something out of the back today and when I shut it it just goes thud and won't latch anymore. The plate rotates freely when pushed with spring tension on it but it doesn't stay rotated.

Wondering if anyone has been through this yet and have a simple write up on it?
thanks

Ok so I got into it today. Pretty simple providing the bolts come out and don't strip or twist off coming out.
1. Any how remove 3 bolts and assembly pulls out a bit.
2. I sprayed WD-40 on the pivot point and worked it back and forth many times until it operated freely with the rear hatch handle.
3. Put assembly back in place and reinstall 3 bolts with some WD40 on the threads.
Done
Pretty simple so I shouldn't have bothered to post up such a simple question! :whoops:
