3FE Manual trans swap / from automatic

Newbie question for everyone - What kind of project/challenge is it to put in a manual gearbox into a 1988 cruiser (3FE/auto trans) US spec model.

It's been done numerous times and for the most part a bolt-up job. A quick search in this forum will turn up lots of information.
