You should post if it is a H55, H41 or H42 input shaft.

Are you sure it won't work in an H55F? Toyodiy.com lists the same part number for an '82 BJ42 4 speed and an '84 BJ42 5-speed.

33311-60080

According to the diagrams and part numbers the transmissions are identical until you get to 5th gear and output shaft.

I'd be a little surprised on that. I've had both and the ratios are different. Input shafts might be the same but the gears and counter shaft probably are not.

I'm still trying to identify this thing. Is there a difference in the tooth count? Here's a pic of it next to an H55F gasser input shaft.

A bit (a lot!) of a long-shot here, but did anyone ever identify that shaft?

I am in a similar situation. As far as I can tell, there was only one B series input shaft which has no taper - and that's for the late (85+?) H55F with 'wings' on the front bearing retainer and a 40 mm bearing surface.

I believe it should be either 33311-60110 or 33311-60111. I am not sure what the difference between the two is, but they are interchangeable. I think -60111 has an extra machine mark up near the very top, between the pilot bearing surface and the beginning of the clutch splines. Also a notch cut into the gear teeth.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!
