Thats right, I stepped up to some 39" iroks but the seller only has 4 so I need a spare. Anyone got a 39" tire for a 15" rim they want to sell ?
I may just run no spare and pack one of the tire repair kits from Larry and some big patches with a can of vulcanizer.

Is 39" tire to much for a 95" wheel base, it is gonna be a little boxy IMO.
 
Dang Jon. iffen you gonna go that big, might as well byt he tires Larry is getting rid of, 42" er's I do believe, and I bet hes got a set of 5 too.
 
and you think 4:11s and Mr. Orion will keep you slow enough??? I see Mr Momentum riding shotgun:D

I have some 54x19.50r20's huge Mickey Thompson baja claws they are almost as tall as my wifey lol
 
well, found a 70 in SR with 4.10's and a detroit for 250 but can't get ahold of guy on craigslist to get it.
Eric member the front is hybrid LC / 60 and it's lookin like a 70 you will get dropped in the front yard as soon as I get ahold of the guy from craigslist to pick it up. He says it is 4.10 with detroit , it is a dually so it has to be cut down one side, order caliper brackets, order 6 lug hubs and then call jack at CTM and ship him the spider gears outa da detroit so he can broach them to 40 spline and send back some 300m 40 spline shafts with drive flanges. Any idea on wether or not the detroit spiders can be broached out like that, I know alot of guys runnin 40 but IIRC they are all using arb's which may be due to the size axle you can get in there, the detroit housing may not allow the 40 spliners even if the side gears will take the broaching ??????
 
Yup. bonedaddy has counseled me and kept my focus on the important issues. The 39's can wait until I can get something other than 15" rims, the dana 70 rear is in effect and should be in the daddy's hands by weekend.
 
When is it ? I have the spare diff all ready to drop in, and a spare ole open coarse spliner I will carry for spare so, yeah the rig could make it, just gotta get the hall pass so post up dates and I'll ask the missus.

Just looked at calender, if it is still end of Aug. there is a hell of a chance, was gonna go to Marlins thing on Con but would rather go Fordyce with the crew. You see the pics from last weekend , that s*** is deep right now...
 
have not had time to get Dana 70 axle.

Had time to pull old third that broke. Found that the pinion was almost clean, just a couple bad spots and hardly bad at that. The arb cross shaft broke and when the broke end came around the pinion straight cut a 3/4 " piece off the end and trashed the hole in arb case doing so but the pinion and all bearings were in decent condition with a broken race on driver side carrier bearing and blown out threads in the main journal adjuster part of main cap. ARB internals seemed to have survived.

Looks like a good spare pinion to me .......... a few bearings and an arb cross shaft and thats my new rear end parts kit, no more complete third member.

Double checked the backlash and preload on the spare third with coarse spline pinion and arb that was set up 6 or 7 years ago and been packed around since. Held air and spun with no air loss first try, gotta love it..
 
If you're still looking at that craigslist 70 axle from SR, and you can't get it right away, I could pick it up hold onto it for a little while 'till you find the time to collect.
