Your best off skipping the manifolds that are made for TBI and going with a standard squarebore manifold and using an adapter to mate the throttle body. With a good tune, bored TB, vortec heads, cam, intake and exhaust, you will have a very noticable difference, probably over 100hp. skip any of those items and you will drastically cut the output.

I woke my TBI up by using a throttle body spacer, headers w crossover pipe and roller rockers. Its not a huge amount, but does make a difference. I Didnt realize how much until I ruined a header and put the stock manifolds back on for a little bit...!
