Why don't you just try it and see what happens?

I had some on my 87 mini and they rubbed a bit on the road and a LOT off road.

You'll need to lift it a bit either 2" body lift or extended shackles are the cheap options. I've done both just in case I decide to go 35"

not in my opinion. throw them and see what rubs. (it will the pinch weld) Hammer the pinch weld flat and go from there. I am running 33x12.0 on my 88 4runner stock. And my buddy is wheeling 33x12.5 on his 88 4runner stock.

ive seen 35's stock you just gotta do a lot of cuttin......and move that front cab mount back about half a foot:grinpimp:

I ran 33x12.5 cheapo mudders on 15" rims for about a year, on and off road on an '85 4Runner on stock worn (235k mile) springs. My rears will rub when stuffed. The fronts would rub on the rear of the front fender when turning sharply. This gets worse when stuffing, of course. This tore off the inner plastic fender lining. I eventually cut it off far up enough to not get caught on the fender liner any more.

However, being too poor for other options, it worked well.

Any questions, please ask.

Give em a bash then, mine caught on the stock truck a lot off road (drive like a loon) so I had to lift it.

Have noticed though that my 33x12.5 kumho's don't sit as high as my BFG's may depend on a few variables.

I just put a 2 1/2" Old Man Emu lift on my '85 pickup and it looks like it would fit 33x12.50 tires easily. I have 31x10.50 tires. It's a pricey lift, but so far, I love it.
