The 152 shares a lot of parts in common with the 304, according to the parts vendors. I'm told this is because the design was taken from half a 304 engine. Are the distributor drive components the same? What I'm getting at is, can you drop a 304 distributor in a 152 block? I know the distributor heads are completely different, but I'm just talking about everything below that. I have a 304 HEI distributor offered to me at a very good price. Other makes run modified V-8 HEI's in I-4's and they work just fine, so I'm looking at the idea of doing the same here. So, will it fit?

Thanks, I tried to register on the IH Parts forum, but it keeps saying it sent a confirmation email, but there's no sign of it. Tried a number of times, no result, and there's no one to ask to have them fix it. I'll see if I can get better luck on the other one.
I'd just try calling them.
