The pig should be ready for a good shake down run with the EFI and locker mod 12.2

New tires on the trailer too, so no more Gumby napping my co-driver/truck guard.

Even got a new batch of TEQ stickers. Maybe some pig ones too. Good for 10 hp each.

Gumby was more problems than what he was worth. The little bastid had this funky smell to him that drew flies! lol Stickers? Cool! I want a dozen of 'em so I can go faster than my wife's 4 cylinder minivan!

This thread needs a bump. Plan to be there Sat. early. Looking forward to it.

This weekend I finally admitted to myself the fact that I have a very weak Pass side front spring pack. Not sure what, if anything I'll be able to do about it this week though. I'll still be there, but I might have a saggy front right end. :( I don't have the truck here at the shop so that complicates things a lot. I might pulling apart a spring pack I have here and try swapping out a few leaves if I have time.

Bummer I won't be able to make it. Hopefully, after this semester I can come to an event again. Have fun you guys!

BTW, Tom, your rig is looking better all the time!

I have a set of marlin leafs (f & r) I doubt they are the right length, but let me know if you want me to grab one

I should be there Sat morning. I have to pick up my rig from Carl on Thursday or Friday, he is fabbing up some "Orange Trail Protection".
The whole family may tag along this time, even the wifey!

Remember that skipping classes is not just for the young!!!

Sorry folks but I won't be able to make this one. My birf parts weren't delivered and are now going back to Kurt thanks to the USPS. The morons could deliver a fart in an elevator without screwing it up. Kurt will have them shipped back to me FEDEX next week. In the meantime enjoy the mud!

Well I'm also going to miss this one, grandaughter turns four on Sat. so I'll be in Chucky Cheese Hell, but I can't tell her no. So I guess you know where you all rate now. Have fun.

Mark

Dang Mark, I think I'd rather go to the dentist than Chucky Cheese!

Can someone closer to Badlands give me an idea of what the weather has been like? We've recieved close to 4" of rain in the last 2 days here in southeastern IN. Not sure I'm interested in trying to wheel an open rig in sloppy mud in the rain with the wind blowing in 40 degree weather. Not my idea of a good time... :bang:

:crybaby:Looks like the shake-down run found some issues in my towrig/trailer combo that's gonna put a stop to my attending this run. The 40 is loaded up as ready to go as it's gonna get today. Started pluging in the lights and brakes to find there is an issue in the truck related to brake lights and turn signals. I've been ticketed for trailer lights in the past and would rather not go there again. Worked at it 'til 10pm and still have not found the root cause. Gonna toss in the towel on this one :frown::crybaby::bang:

Worked until mid-afternoon on the pig. It took me that long to get it running right and then it died on the run around the parking lot.

I threw in the towel. Frantic wrenching to tow a half running rig through ice/snow to wheel topless in the cold rain didn't sound like fun.

overheated the trans on the way down, had a blast with the dual cases, over heated the trans on the way back....fun time.
