It's the bellhousing needed to fit a 3.4 liter V6 to the R151F, or a R150F tranny that comes behind a 3.0 liter V6. Needed because these trannys have a 6.5" input shaft versus the 7.5" long shaft of the R150F trannys orginally behind a 3.4 liter V6. The R151F is the 5 speed tranny used in a late 80's Toyota turbo equipped truck. Nothing special, just the correct part for a specific need.
