I bought a single chamber flowmaster other works known as 10 series. It is a 2.5" inlet and a dual 2.5" outlet. I installed it and put two turn
downs before the rear axle. So now my question is, Has anyone got this muffler and/or what should I do to fix the back flow. I feel like it does not have enough backflip but maybe I need to just finish the pipe out the rear so it rides better through excelled action

Cont- through acceleration. I thought about Y piping in to one pipe or just weld a delete over on of the outlets. NEED INPUT ASAP THANK YOU

Are you talking about back pressure? As in your truck lost some low-end torque with the new exhaust?

Ya, low back pressure that's what it feels like when I'm driving. So to fix that I thought about welding a delete on one pipe or a "Y" pipe from the two outlets back in to one pipe.

I think either option will work if you want to increase back pressure. I bet you can ghetto-fab some kind of clamp-on cap for the second outlet just to try it.

Maybe I'm getting old but after playing around with aftermarket exhausts on 2 different 1st gen tacomas I wound up going back to stock. The noise, power, and MPG loss wasn't worth it at all. Most single in dual out mufflers perform very poorly. Even capping off one outlet likely won't change much other than a very slight reduction in noise. That muffler is made for drag cars to pass very loose noise regulations. It has no place on a street vehicle. Something like an 18 inch case Magnaflow would be a far better choice.

I honestly have not seem any MPG loss and everything else is running at peak performance. I yes just wondering if anyone had some input lol. And a little bio about me, my father and I have been in the drag race scene for a long time, it is a family sport that has got passed down. He told me do a y pipe and run it out. Thank you though for the input.
