Hi all, been a while.

pretty much as the title asks, is the 2L-T crank shaft interchangeable with any of the other L series engines? mine is speciffically a side cam 2L-T from a 1989 JDM LN61V-MSX.

and because we all love pics

There are a number of different cranks for these engines. The early 2L-T (rocker head) has smaller rod journals and also has a 6 bolt flywheel. Around 1990 the rod journals of the 2LT-II and 2LTE are larger and there is an 8 bolt flywheel. Your engine is sort of in between, so you'd have to look it up and see which version it is. The 3L and 5L have longer piston stroke, so I'm going to say those cranks are totally different ('stroker' crank).

Use Megazip to look at all the different part numbers.
