I've also removed two Nuts from behind the Timing Cover. Am I right to hit it with a soft Hammer?
To get the Engine out, all I have to do is get the Injector Pump off, remove the pivot Nut and Bolt from the Alternator, and remove the Bonnet.roscoFJ73 said:Are you sure it doesnt need a puller like the 6 cyl pump?
I had to use a puller,a hammer and a lot of swearing to get the 1HZ pump off

Currently, it looks like the left side of the Injector Pump sits on two Studs comming from the back of the Timing Cover. - I can't see how a Puller could be attached to it.roscoFJ73 said:So are you using a puller to get the inj pump off? I dont think there is any other way.
I was told to tap it with a soft hammer when the puller was as tight as could be.
