2 nuts in front and 2 bolts at the bracket in the back. You need to take the bracket off the bolt to pull the pump as well so that would make 6

I removed the four Bolts on the right side, and the Bracket. :)
I've also removed two Nuts from behind the Timing Cover. Am I right to hit it with a soft Hammer?

Are you sure it doesnt need a puller like the 6 cyl pump?
I had to use a puller,a hammer and a lot of swearing to get the 1HZ pump off:doh:

Whats the latest on your engine?

To get the Engine out, all I have to do is get the Injector Pump off, remove the pivot Nut and Bolt from the Alternator, and remove the Bonnet. :princess:

So are you using a puller to get the inj pump off? I dont think there is any other way.

I was told to tap it with a soft hammer when the puller was as tight as could be.

Currently, it looks like the left side of the Injector Pump sits on two Studs comming from the back of the Timing Cover. - I can't see how a Puller could be attached to it.

The puller is used as a "pusher" from the front from memory.

I spent 2 days on it bending/breaking pullers:rolleyes:

The puller screws into those 4 holes around the shaft. It should look something like mine

The 2L doesn't need a puller (pusher actually) like the newer "gear/belt hybrid timing system" do. If the pulley and injector lines are off the pump should come out. :)
