Trying to get some advice and clarity on what the previous owner did on my '85 HJ60. He bypassed the rear heater with the following hose configuration:

Does this look right? Is this the correct way to route the hoses to bypass the rear heater? If it's not too much trouble, can someone post a photo of how you routed your hoses if you bypassed the rear heater? Thanks so much for any help!

I can't see a problem running the heater hoses like in the photo once the heater is turned off the system will return the water back through the head.

Hey Aloha Jen,

Was wondering if you had any troubles with your cooling + heating system with your delete rear heating set up? What type of T piping was used? Also how much coolant did you use? Thank you very much 😊

No troubles with the heating/cooling system over the years. T piping is just a brass fitting I think made for plumbing. I just filled the coolant until the radiator was full and idled on an incline for an hour with the heater on high. Still running good!
