2H Forged Pistons

Hello,
Does anyone know of a source to get a rebuild kit that has forged pistons? If not, how about just a source for the forged pistons?

Doug, I am also shopping for a 2H rebuild kit. Do you have any particular reason for looking for forged pistons?

I'm a big fan of forged pistons from my experiences racing in Baja and really want to do a rebuild just once. Eventually I will install a turbo and don't want to worry about it if I turn up the boost to 12. Having said that, I don't believe that the forged pistons are needed its just my preference. I found an engine builder in AU and will give him a call to see what is available.

On that motor (2H and 12HT) the main thing is to get Alfin pistons, they have a steel insert to keep the compression ring from eating through the piston.

yes, all I am hearing is to get those pistons with steel inserts? BTW, are those alfin pistons come from single manufacturer in Taiwan /my guess/ or available from different manufacturers? Any quality ones or they all same?

oh, just forgot to ask. I see most of the 2H rebuild kits are offered by AU shops, like engine australia, roodogs, etc. Are these kits all same inside in terms of completeness and quality of individual parts?

Just refreshing this thread, Im planning on rebuilding my 2H in school with the intent of turbocharging and would like to know where I can find some of these Alfin Pistons either separate or in a full rebuild kit?
