No way. Well maybe the 2F, my F weber 38 definitely used alot less gas. I mean this thing uses like 1/4 tank to run from house to work to home depot to house, like 20 miles maybe. Maybe an injected 8, but not this 4 barrel. It's not like I run them open the whole time either.

what valves/springs you using?

You sir, need mud tires..

I WISH I had video of me filling the back of my cruiser with sand..

it sounded about like that.

Kudos to Andrew Farmer. And for those scratching your heads wondering what the deal with him is? LOL. I have known him now for about 3 years on the Land Cruiser Mailing List (LCML). Some of you here may already know Andrew.

However - Andrew is the reason I now have a strong running stock 2F. He is a cruiser genius and has helped me immensely over the past few years on the list.

He knows the 2F front and back, and if he says it - I do it. I respect his vast knowlege.

Oh, and the 2F rules OFF ROAD over a SMC.

1. More weight on the front axle for stability
2. chug that thing along at 200-800rpm's all day
3. stock oil cooler - runs ULTRA cool
4. VERY durable
5. It was built for the cruiser - and is not a chevy.

Daily driver around town? Maybe V8, but then that's why I have a tacoma.

<bow> to Andrew Farmer for all the help he's given me over the years.

A true cruiser head!

2F=Stone Ax Simple and without the hassle of shoe-horning in a V8.

So what's your stand on this debate? Would you run a 2F in that beast?

Fxxx no. I like my LT-1 :D

As for those pics, I sure wish I had one just like it then......and one like I have now ;)

hmmm that 2f sounds smooth... mine gets a bit thrashy at 3500...

I've been thinking about a swap but wanted to keep what ever I do Toyota parts. Is there anyone out there that has put a Lexus v-8 in a 40?
