In remounting the 2F this weekend, I noticed my passenger front side motor mount appears misaligned. The frame mounts are not altered and the motor mounts are those that were on the frame before dismantling the 2F.

Rear engine mounts are applied correctly -

I tried applying body English to adjust the 2F towards the driver's side but the engine wants to retreat to this offset view.

Did I do something wrong when I put the 2F mount arms on?

If you have tightened, or even snugged any of the other mounts, you will get this symptom. When I have remounted F's & 2F's, I have started with the front, got them started and then worried about the rear mounts.

It also helps if you loosen the mounting bracket from the bell housing a little bit on the passenger side. You can tighten and torque it back down after you get the mounting bolts started.

You sure the rear passenger mount is correct? Looks like you have 2 of them stacked on top of each other, I think one of those mounts goes below the bracket. I changed out my mounts a few months ago, so I don't remember exactly

You definitely have to get all the bolts into their respective holes before tightening down any of them, and start with the front 2. There's enough play in the holes that you could get a three of them in and have the fourth way off.

I had that same problem when I broke mine and had to replace them, I loosely bolted them to the frame, took a bottle jack and put it in between the frame and engine until I was able to get a couple of threads in, then to the other side, then snug them, start the motor rev a bit, shut off and tighten all.
good luck,

I also had same problem. I found it was easier to but the back ones on loose then bolt the motor mounts loosely to the front of the motor first before lowing the front of the motor into position and the motor mounts guided it into place on the frame. Used a ratchet strap around the crank pulley and frame to shift it into place. Good luck and have patience.

And I learnt the hard way that it pays to release the handbrake (propeller-shaft-mounted type) otherwise that can keep the engine/transmission in a twisted state (when you're mucking around with any of the mounts)!

cant tell for sure 2f mounts the bolts were straight looking from the front .i have seen taco mounts an fj 60 mounts used and the bolts are offset.may or may not be the problem.

It looks like the rear pasenger side is wrong to me too. One donut goes below the frame bracket, that should level it out.
