285/70/17 fit GX? Sorry last post wrong size

Also reading some guys are saying need to change gearing with 285/70/17's or it will feel sluggish and may not go into overdrive on hiway? Dont want to deal with any of that, please let me know guys that are running this set up and if needed to change gearing or feels sluggish etc now. My son just wants the tires to be larger on it and look beefier, so maybe a different size?
I didn’t re-gear with 285/70R17s. Power seems perfectly fine for me. No issues going into overdrive.
More issues with rubbing on this tire size than anything else. And issues with spare location might not fit a 285/70.
But the majority of us like the look of bigger fatter tires! In the future, I plan to get Kenda Klever 33x10.5 to see if the rubbing goes away on full turns.

Mine has 285/70R17 and it rubs at full lock but the benefits outweigh the negatives. The engine is fine as far as it being sluggish. Just give it more gas!
