Has anyone mounted a set of BF Goodrich A/T's in size 285/65R18 on his or her 100 series Cruiser? I'm thinking this way for some healthy sand action on the outer banks of North Carolina.

I see where BF Goodrich lists them on their website, but I am unable to locate any online retailers who sell them.

I might be getting ahead of myself here. Guess I'm looking for some feedback regarding the fit of the 285/65R18’s on a stock 2004 Cruiser.

Thanks in advance.

1010tires.com has them listed.

I spoke with BF Goodrich today. The 285/65R18's are on "national backorder" until mid-August. Here is the number for BFG if anyone needs it:

BFG Consumer Relations
877-788-8899

Now I just need to find out if the 285/65R18's will run without trouble on a stock 100 series... Anyone out there have some insight?

They will fit easily on your 100 series.

I run 285/75R16's and they fit beautifully without any issues at all.

The size you want are actually smaller in circumference than the ones I am using.

Specification Sidewall /Radius /Diameter /Circumference /Revs/Mile Difference
285/75-16......8.4in.....16.4in.....32.8in.......103.1in.........614.......0.0%
285/65-18......7.3in.....16.3in.....32.6in.......102.4in.........619......-0.7%

I agree they should fit fine. I believe Nitto make the Terra Grappler AT in that size also but for less $$$.

Try Discount or America's Tire.

Nitto doesn't make that size (or at least not anymore). They make a 285/60-18 which measures 31.38" in diameter.

Right - The only tire I can find in a 285/65R18 is the BFG All-Terrain... and that size is currently unavailable from the major online resellers.

My local guys says he found 8 (eight) down in Florida. I think I'll wait until BFG whips up a fresh batch.

And the BFG AT is going to be replaced soon by their new AT tire. I wonder if they will continue to produce the old style as well?

New AT tire? Sorry if I missed that one. Any info?

Sorry, my bad. The MT is slated for replacement and the new MT's are already being tested.

I suppose the AT will be replaced in 07 then. Can't imagine they would do both in one year.
