I know there is lots of tire size info for 200s on this forum. I have a stock LC200 and want to leave it stock for now. Looking at Toyo AT3s, will 285/65/18s fit without any rubbing at all? I get (and read) mixed info on this—some owners say 'no rubbing at all' and some say 'it rubs just a little bit'....

Discount Tire tells me they will rub. Eric Sarjeant w/Ed Martin says they will rub unless I add spacers. Anyone have the 285/65/18s on stock with no spacers and getting no rub? Thx!

This might win a prize for the most frequently asked question:bounce: If you enter that tire size into this forum, you’ll get 50 pages of posts. I’m sure in those posts you’ll find some rubbing and most not rubbing, likely dependent on the tire type and brand/model. There are minor differences among tires. Hopefully someone with that Toyo will know about rubbing.

Great info, thanks for the response.

I have NITTO Terra Grappler G3 285x65x18 on my 2020 LC200 HE with no spacers . The setup does not rub even in full lock.

With my KO2s, I had some minor rubbing on the front left when backing up. Pushing the plastic parts out of the way and really tightening the screws to keep them in place cured the rubbing. At full lock, there is about 1/8th to 3/16th inch clearance. Stock '21 Heritage edition, no spacers. About 275 lbs of WKOR sliders and Slee steel skids. I have recently developed and odd thunk somewhere in the left front when turning full lock right and going over any kind of a bump. I have looked, shook, bounced and rocked, no clue as to what it is. Everything is tight and no tell-tail marks. The thunk is also inconsistent. Big help...

I run 285/65/18 Falken Wildpeak AT on factory 18” wheels without spacers, no lift, and no rubbing. A quality alignment will go a long way.

I have Toyo At3 in that size. When I was stock, very very very minor rubbing without spacers. I removed the airflow echelons in front, but still a tiny bit of rubbing at 3/4 turn on passenger side. Was easy to heat and shape though as it was really minor. I didn’t see any KDSS issues.

Spacers actually made it a bit worse as it was the outside edge of the tire… still minor & still easy enough to shape though.

Now with BP51 lift and spacers has no rub at all.
