Hello enthusiasts. I have been having problems lately with my split 24volt-12 volt system with a vanner 60 amp battery equalizer model 65-60. The 12 volt load side battery voltage drops when under load and the 24 volt load side battery voltage increases whin the vehicle is running. When I dont have a load on it and the vehicle is running it charges both batteries. It would appear that the equalizer isnt working but the green light is on. So in the equalizer manuel it states that if the green light is on and this condition exists that the equalizer is ok but there is an overload condition. I might have a short or something. I had some agm batteries installed but the shop didnt secure the battery holddown properly and the hold down shorted between the negative terminal on the 24 volt load battery and the cable from the equalizer to the positive side of the other 12 volt load battery. This happened on the 1st drive after I picked it up from the shop. I read on another post something about agm batteries maybe not being compatable with the equalizer. So any information on that would be helpful. Maybe its just the batteries and not a short? Electronics is not something i have a very good understanding of so thanks for any help.
