I recently had a OME 2.5" lift installed (60000 & 60002 shocks, torsion bars, and 860 coils) with only a few mIles on it. I am sitting at 23" on all four corners from center of wheel to edge of fender. I'm going to adjust the torsion bars to get the front end down to 21.5" or 22" for about 1" to 1.5" of rake. I've read several threads that mention the front end shouldn't be above 20.5 to 21". Hoping to get some bumpers next year but nothing in the near future. Is 22" in the front and 23" in the rear reasonable or did my installer screw something up? Any help is appreciated.

Side note - My inner cv boots are leaking so I've got a diff drop on the way along with clamps from pfran.

Out of curiosity,

1) How much droop (down travel) do you have on the front wheels at 23"?
2) Did you install aftermarket UCAs?
3) How's the caster? (Does the wheel return to center after a turn? Does it feel "nervous" at highway speeds?)

You may want to read the section on "Adjusting Torsion Bars Properly (Droop)"

If you are at 23" all around then I'd say yes the installer left it nose high for sure. 23" in the rear *may* be about right as it sounds like you are still with stock bumpers and no load in the cargo area. So pretty much as light as you will ever be. It will also settle a little bit at first but not a huge amount; don't expect an 1" of settling to occur...

As jLB is alluding to you are probably a little short on droop up front. Probably going to want the alignment checked out after you put the proper rake back in it.

eta: just saw this thing has no diff drop! I bet it is slinging grease lol.

Factory control arms. It actually drIves good and not really nervous feeling but I've only been up to about 60 mph. I'm having the diff drop installed and the font end lowered an inch next week. I'm not going to drive it until then to keep any unnecessary wear on the cv joints at a minimum. I appreciate the input. Ih8mud has been super helpful and has allowed me to give a lot of good information to the shop as there aren't many cruiser people around.
