Jumped up from a 4runner to a new 200 HE this week and the rake is insane. After reading some posts it is the rear springs that are different than non-he models and are causing most of the rake. If I go 2.5 in the front do I want to go 1 inch in the rear or 1.5 to be level or as close as possible?

thanks in advance for the feedback.

If you are replacing front and rear, you are zeroing out. The existing rake is meaningless. A 2” front and 2” rear spec’d lift from Dobinsons will have you almost level.

Pay no attention to the scrawny stock tires. Mine is IMS and using 542 up front and 547 rear. Almost level;1/4” rake (heavy drawers and 40 gal LRA).

Going to hack this thread. How do you like the ims? I have a set due to ship any day now. Can’t wait.

My stock gear had become mush with added weight. This has firmed up the ride considerably with no harshness. I am reserving final comment and review until the tires finally come in and get mounted. With a roof mounted spare and Alu-box the KDSS that was near level on curves and on-ramps when new is now a little less level. Physics. Waiting to see what larger E rated tires will add (or subtract) to the KDSS effectiveness. I also don’t think my alignment is 100% dialed in yet. Waiting for tires to mess with it.

Thanks that’s what I thought, but the guy at Dobsion told me to go 2.5 front and 1 in the rear to be level.

You are replacing both springs and shocks, correct?

Yes I am. Just going to run 285 ko2 hidden winch mount, sliders and a drawer system

Right, so if you are replacing the rear springs with a set that provides 2” lift and the spring se@t for the front coilover is set right for 2” of lift (222mm I think, but check instructions) the tops of your wheel arches front and rear should come in around 37”. Like I said mine are about 3/16 to 1/4” higher in the rear. Effectively level.
