21 HE Oil Pressure Fluctuating (1 Viewer)

I have a brand new truck, about 800 miles in. I was a few miles into a mall crawling, I know sorry, expedition when I noticed the oil pressure was low. It would fluctuate up to near normal under acceleration. Is this normal, or should I head in to the stealer, I mean dealer, for a checkup. No oil leaking on the driveway, parking lot, or engine bay. Thanks in advance for any help.

This is normal. It will read mid-way just after a cold start and acceleration, otherwise the gauge generally reads about 1/4.

Thank goodness, saves me the stress of dealing with a likely fruitless diagnosis experience. Definitely slightly different than the GX470 I jumped up from. I appreciate the confirmation.

Yea I've never understood why they read low but they do.
