Greetings folks, just joined up. I am just about to pull the trigger on a 2017 GX 460 base model with 85,xxx miles. I have been doing a lot of research and am very familiar with 4runners, Fj Cruiser, tacos and gen 1 tundras but am new to the Lexus GX.
Is there anything specific to the 2017 models I should be watching out for?
It seems that the 2017 model is one of the "better " years from what I am finding online.
Thanks for your input.

They are highly reliable vehicles in all years, if you can, pull a Carfax report and see how well the vehicle was maintained. If the oil was changed every 10,000 miles or longer, I would look at a different GX. If it was changed every 5k, the owner probably took good care of it, and you should get another 150K or more out of it.

When I was doing my research, the 2017 and 2019 were supposed to be "the years" to go for. Never really understood the "why" behind this, it's not like much has changed on these in the past decade. I'd say change your plugs and all, literally ALL, your fluids, check for leaks etc... and you should be iaght.
