So I'm new here and have been on the 120 pages inquiring about lifting my 2004 Gx 470. I was in my driveway loading my golf cart on a trailer when going in the garage I heard a faint motor running under the rear end of my wife's 2015 GX 460? It had not been driven in several hour and it does not have rear air suspension so I crawled under it.

So the second pic is the box/pump making noise? and it's goes to the piston in third pic attached to rear sway bar?

Anyone know why this motor/pump would be running hours after last use?

Any help would be appreciated,

That's completely normal. About 3-4 hours after shut down your vapor canister leak check occurs and makes some noise.

Well there you go! Thanks, make sense now...I've had the car for over two years and that is the first time I notice the noise...I guess just the right timing.

I bought some of the AHC fluid recently. Toyota only sell them in quart sized bottles now. Good luck with the rear piston. I was able to get a used front piston and hoses off a 4runner for cheap. I believe he still has the rear piston available. I can try to connect you with him if you decided to replace it.

Thanks! But I think for now I'm just going to watch it. Everything is working fine with no warning light. There has never been any fluid spots on the floor under the rear end in the garage were it parks every night so.... nothing for now.
