went again this year...another great hunt and adventure.

Shot boar with my longbow....douglas fir shafts tipped with 190 Ribteks and fletched with right wing feather from wild turkey.
It was close range in tall reeds...like LIONS IN THE TALL GRASS by Peter Capstick. Complete with boar watching his back trail to get us but I came up behind him and finished him.....with knife to heart. Old hog...guessing around 165lbs...will have him weighed when I drop him off tomorrow to make sausage...and add a few pounds for his entrails.

Very cool. Save me a piece of that sausage.

Awesome job! Too bad there won't be any left for hog chili at Spring Tide Ride… Your wife's venison chili is the best venison I've EVER eaten.

some other pics of hunt including closeup of cutters from gumline....me making the shot with him 5-8 feet in front of me in grass....me taking up the blood trail in tall grass...and another of him after he was finally down.

Here is the skull...guy said it was by far the largest head he has done in years...and the teeth were huge compared to most and only ones with the brown streaks through them that did not come off during the boiling and cleaning with peroxide.
