Hey All,

I was just in the process of swapping out the stock low beams with a different set (D4S Xenon 35W HID Bulbs (Pair) - https://www.stedi.com.au/d4s-xenon-35w-hid-bulbs-pair.html), and after installing the passenger side light, I turned the low beams on to check if it worked, which it did.

At this point I noticed a faint high pitched noise coming from both the headlights. I did turn the lights on before swapping out the bulb, but can't say that I noticed any noise as I did have headphones on.

I swapped the stock bulb back in to see if the noise was there with the original bulb, and it is.

Would anyone be willing to wander out, pop the hood on their LC, turn the low beams on (without turning on the engine) and confirm if you also hear a noise? To hear it, I did have to have my head close to the headlight.

If you do, is that normal? If you don't, any ideas?

Much appreciated...

How have these bulbs performed for you? Like them?

@kcjaz I'm ashamed to admit, but after hearing the noise from the Stedi ones vs the OEM, I didn't like the noise the Stedi ones made. But, based on the couple of comments here, seems like it might be normal? I've completely forgotten about this and haven't re-installed...I'm currently travelling, but should be home for a week at the end of January. If I've got a few minutes, I'll swap them again and let you know.

Any chance on some feedback from you re: the noise, since it looks like we have same year LC?

I’ve never noticed any noise but I’ve not tried listening without the engine running. I’ve got a current flicker and my driver’s side goes out intermittently.

I’ll give it a listen but I’m getting some work done (new gears and lockers go in this week) so it will be a week or so.
